Real Madrid "s plans for next season are gathering pace with new signing defender Eder Militao hailed as the "next Pepe" by the technical staff responsible for brining him to Spain after just one season in European football".
"Real Madrid CF and FC Porto have agreed the transfer of Eder Militao and the player will sign on a six-year contract running until the 30th of June 2025", read a brief statement on the Real Madrid website.

The Brazilian only joined Porto from Sao Paulo last summer for €4 million.

Militao became the first signing in the second coaching tenure of French coach Zinedine Zidane who was rehired on Monday as the capital club's manager.
Real Madrid entertain struggling Celta Vigo on Saturday on Zidane's return to the Bernabeu and he said he was "emotional to be able to return to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium".
