Why the Marshmello x Fortnite concert is such a big deal


Fortnite may be the biggest spectacle now in all of video games.

Don't fret, because the folks at IGN have captured the performance in full for your viewing pleasure. The stage was set, but I figured Marshmello and Epic Games were only teaming up to debut a new song or something. For the 15-minute concert, Epic disabled all of our weapons and building capabilities so that we could enjoy the show without being griefed.

On Thursday, the DJ tweeted that his fans should make their way to Pleasant Park, a location in the popular battle royale-style video Fortnite on Saturday night, suggesting that he will be performing a 'special set'. Broken up across three challenges, users will need to complete them all if they want to earn a new Fortnite icon. In this challenge, you just have to search for a Showtime Picture over the map, once you find it move closer to it hold down Use key while standing in front of that picture.

Until the others unlock, that leaves you to merely track down a showtime poster. Players can buy this fantastic skin from the Item Store which costs 1,500 V-Bucks.
