Super Bowl overnight TV ratings fall to 10-year low

Longtime TV host Steve Harvey didn't mince words when he was leaving Super Bowl 53 in Atlanta.

A Los Angeles Rams player had quite the morbid outlook on things after his team lost to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LIII - the lowest-scoring game in National Football League history.

"The defense was great".

For the Patriots, Julian Edelman had 141 yards on 10 catches, and he won Super Bowl MVP.

The low-scoring matchup between the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams on CBS averaged a 44.9 rating in metered market households. Consecutive Super Bowls have not featured the same two teams since the Dallas Cowboys and the Buffalo Bills went head-to-head in Super Bowl XXVII and Super Bowl XXVIII, with the Cowboys winning both games. So it's no surprise that NOLA had a few things to say about the lowest-scoring Super Bowl ever.
