A low pressure system is now brewing over the southern US, which may intensify into a winter storm as it moves over Southern Ontario on Tuesday, the agency said.

Snow, sleet, and freezing rain are in the forecast for MA on Tuesday and Wednesday.

-Northern Mercer, northern Middlesex, Hunterdon, Somerset, southern Warren, southern Morris, Union, essex, Hudson, eastern Bergen, eastern Passaic.

Low pressure passes over the area Tuesday with a scattered icy mix of precipitation.

More than 120 people were rescued on Thursday from a Sierra Nevada, California, resort after being trapped by snow for five days. The evening commute will be highly impacted.

A Winter Storm Warning is now in effect for Ulster and Dutchess counties from 10 a.m. Tuesday until noon on Wednesday.

-Winter Weather Advisory. from Midnight to 7 p.m. Tuesday for Hunterdon, Mercer, Monmouth, Middlesex, and Somerset counties.

Wave heights of up to 1.5 metres are expected on Monday, while up to 2.5-metre wave heights are in the forecast for Tuesday. Another round of winter weather is on the way for Greater Danbury and the Hudson Valley with snow and some mixed precipitation. High minus 11. Winter storm warnings are issued when multiple types of severe winter weather are expected to occur together. This dinosaur duo was clearing snow after a storm last month.
