Deputies are actively searching for an escaped prisoner in the 800 block of N. Loop 336 West. He was wearing an orange jumpsuit and restraints when he fled.

Marks has three pending murder charges and is a professional MMA fighter.

Marks has three pending murder charges against him, authorities said, adding that he is considered to be "extremely risky".

Authorities say Crews is "extremely dangerous" and that anyone who sees him should immediately call the police.

Marks escaped after the private transport company extraditing him stopped for food, Montgomery Sheriff's Lt. Scott Spencer wrote on Twitter. The two disappeared January 4 and were found buried in a shallow grave in Clearview, Oklahoma, on January 15.

Marks' wife, Ginell McDonough, is facing charges of harboring a fugitive, as she's accused of allowing Marks and Maxwell to stay with her while authorities were looking for them, KCEN-TV said.

Maya Maxwell is charged with evidence tampering and is jailed in Bell County, Texas, on US$150,000 (NZ217,000) bond.

Marks was recaptured by law enforcement Sunday afternoon.

Scott filed for a protective order against Marks in August, alleging he broke into her home while her daughter, who was 9, was present and took her mobile phone to prevent her from calling 911.

Texas Prisoner Transport Services has contracts with several Central Texas departments, including Bell County, McLennan County and Hill County.

Maya Maxwell, 26, was arrested and charged after she told police that she tried to hide Swearingin's vehicle in the Austin area after his disappearance.

An ex-girlfriend of Marks, Amanda Pease, has been missing since 2009 in Bloomington, Minnesota.

She is accused of allowing Marks and Maxwell to stay in her home between January 5 and January 9.

She was 30 years old when she was reported missing and was the mother of Marks' son, who was the subject of a heated custody battle, according to court documents from Washington state that the Telegram obtained. The circumtances leading up to the escape are now under investigation, she told reporters. "We are getting information related to their case and, if it applies in our case, we'll pursue it".
