This time Josh McDaniels walks away from jobs without a fiasco

After another foray into the head coach vacancy market, it appears that Josh McDaniels will be returning to the Patriots yet again.

Bidwill, the team president, and Keim, the general manager, wanted to keep their search "close to the vest", Bidwill had said.

"I've said before, I think I have one of the best jobs in the world", McDaniels added Tuesday.

Former Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury, who most recently was USC's offensive coordinator, is expected to be interviewed by the Jets as well. "It is always a humbling experience to have an opportunity to interview with anybody for that position".

Tom Brady #12 of the New England Patriots high fives Brian Hoyer #2 and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels during the second half against the Green Bay Packers at Gillette Stadium on November 4, 2018 in Foxborough, Massachusetts. He previously served as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Houston and Texas A&M, where he worked under current Arizona Wildcats head coach Kevin Sumlin. That may or may not be fair to McDaniels, who has obviously done a great job running New England's offenses during his time there, but as in everything else, things change and affections wane.

McDaniels passed up the chance to be a head coach a year ago. Yet he never won the Super Bowl. Why?

The former Texas Tech quarterback was selected in the sixth round of the 2003 National Football League draft by the New England Patriots.

COACH BILL Belichick, during a conference call, was told Trey Flowers had a nightmare about not being able to set the edge and was asked what that says about Flowers in making sure he plays the defense correctly.

According to The Athletic's Bruce Feldman, the Jets interviewed Kingsbury on Monday regarding their head coaching position. Thereafter, the organization named him their head coach and gave him a four-year contract with a team option for the fifth year.
