The Douglas County Sheriff's Office confirms that Barron County missing person JAYME CLOSS was located alive in the Town of Gordon in Douglas County at 4:43pm and a suspect was taken into custody at 4:54pm, also in the Town of Gordon.
The sheriff's department will hold a press conference over the case Friday morning.
The announcement, which was posted online around 8 p.m., came just hours after the sheriff's office wrote in a separate post that Closs "has NOT been located-this is false news". He said the matter was an open investigation and could not provide additional details.

A 911 call with garbled audio was made from Denise Closs' cellphone at about 1 a.m. on October 15.
Jayme Closs has been missing since her parents - James Closs, 56, and Denise Closs, 46 - were found fatally shot in their home on October 15.
Shortly after this a suspect was taken into custody in regards to this case.
At the time, authorities believe Closs was inside her home when her parents were killed, but was gone by the time deputies arrived at the scene.

Detectives pursued thousands of tips, watched dozens of surveillance videos and conducted numerous searches in the effort to find Jayme.
Both Jayme and Denise have been described as quiet, kind, religious and giving, an example of how a loving mom raised her daughter with her own good values. Every day there was hope.
