Rockets GM thinks James Harden averaging 40 points per game is possible

The Warriors fell short to a struggling Rockets team earlier this season, so Houston will try to replicate its last result against the Dubs on Thursday at 10:30 p.m. ET in Oracle Arena. DeRozan got his first career triple-double, stuffing the stat sheet with 21 points, 14 rebounds, 11 assists and 2 steals.

Late in the fourth quarter against the Houston Rockets - Kevin Durant stepped out of bounds three times and even touched the ball as he threw it back in bounds, yet every single official in the game completely missed it. In San Antonio, it was the return of Kawhi Leonard, who led the team to National Basketball Association championship in 2014.

Jamal Murray (36) and Nikola Jokic (26) combined for 62 points in a 117-113 win over the Kings.

James Harden then proceeded to hit an absurd game-winning 3-pointer to effectively wipe out Durant's play, which came with him obviously out of bounds.

Over the past five games, Harden is averaging 42.8 points per game, 9.4 assists, 7.4 rebounds, and 7.4 threes made. LaMarcus Aldridge scored 23 points for San Antonio, Bryn Forbes added 20, Derrick White 19 and Rudy Gay 13.

Harden also had help from Clint Capela, who tallied his third 20-20 game of the season with 29 points and 21 rebounds as the Rockets overcame a 20-point second-half deficit.

The defending champion Warriors had held a 20-point lead in regulation, but fell to a defeat despite Stephen Curry's 35 points.
