At today's special Resident Evil 2 broadcast event held in Tokyo, the developers' panel revealed a new content update mode for the game called "The Ghost Survivors". Titled "Ghost Survivors", this mode aims to extend longevity with random elements and repeatable missions. Even more, there will be three volumes according to a recent ResetERA post starting with a USS member, Kendo, and Katherine. Additionally, the mode is said to be very replayable.

For many fans, Resident Evil 2 is their favourite game in the long running horror franchise. Capcom announced a release titled "Classic '98", and will revert Leon Kennedy and/or Claire Redfield back to their polygonal models. The costumes will be added for free on March 22nd. There is not yet a price attached.

Capcom's development team used the 21-year time gap to their advantage by using their homemade RE Engine to rebuild the world, the puzzles and the enemies from the ground up.
