New Rep. Rashida Tlaib calls Trump expletive in push for his impeachment

When incoming US congresswoman Rashida Tlaib is sworn into office Thursday, she will use Thomas Jefferson's centuries-old Quran.

"Ever", Tlaib told the crowd in the packed space.

"Listen, you motherf-kers - we're gonna tax you 25 percent", Trump said in the Las Vegas speech, suggesting that's what he would say to China if he were in charge, according to the video, posted on Twitter by Scott Dworkin, founder of the Democratic Coalition Against Trump. "Look mama, you won".

"It's probably exactly how my grandmother, if she was alive, would say it", Tlaib said.

Rashida Tlaib was unapologetic about her choice of words calling for the impeachment of President Donald Trump at an event Thursday, where the congresswoman referred to him as a "motherf****r".

She also told the George Soros-backed organization, "For me it's really about taking down these corporate billionaires".

Rep. Nanci Pelosi (D-Calif.), who was re-elected as the speaker of the House on January 3, told reporters that she is not ruling out impeaching Trump.

"They only want to impeach me because they know they can't win in 2020, too much success!"

It is not the first time Tlaib has called for Trump's impeachment, including an article written in a Detroit newspaper, also on Thursday.

The issue of impeachment has been a divisive one for Democrats.

"More to the point, I disagree with what she said".

Last month, Tlaib announced that she would not participate in an annual trip to Israel sponsored by pro-Israel AIPAC lobby and pledged her support to the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, saying she would organize her own delegation to the West Bank.

"We shouldn't be impeaching for a political reason, and we shouldn't avoid impeachment for a political reason", Pelosi said on NBC's "Today". I also love Eric Holder's (obviously metaphoric) idea that "When they go low, we kick them". "I am going to stay focused & hopefully that will lead my colleagues to see that impeachment is in order". Looking for a straightforward account of Tlaib talking trash, I find Mark Osborne's ABC News story.

Earlier in the morning, Tlaib's brother called in to C-Span's Washington Journal television new program to congratulate his sister.
