NBA All-Star voting: Kevin Durant trails Luka Doncic in first returns

Boston's Kyrie Irving topped the East guards with 910,329 votes and Miami's Dwyane Wade was 2nd on 409,156. Fans get 50 percent of the vote for All-Star starters, with the other 50 percent being split between the media and players.

The two team captains will draft rosters from the players voted as starters and reserves, picking players regardless of conference affiliation.

When Derrick Rose erupted with a 50 point game earlier in the season, the National Basketball Association world was thrilled, celebrating the return of the youngest MVP in history.

Boston's Kyrie Irving (910,329) is now the only East guard with more votes than Wade (409,156), who is ahead of other top candidates such as Charlotte's Kemba Walker (319,519), Philadelphia's Ben Simmons (259,993) and Indiana's Victor Oladipo (198,009). Current NBA players and a panel of basketball media each account for 25% of the remaining vote.
