Mike McCarthy Only Interested in Coaching Jets Next Season

Jets fans have stated mixed opinions about the former Miami Dolphins head coach taking charge of Gang Green.

He worked as an assistant with Detroit, San Francisco and Denver before being promoted to offensive coordinator by the Broncos in 2013 and drawing rave reviews from Peyton Manning. They likely are interested in him with the hope he could groom quarterback Sam Darnold the same way he did with Aaron Rodgers.

The Dolphins have interviewed Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, Saints defensive coordinator Dennis Allen.

Instead, the Jets opted for Gase, who has a solid reputation for working with quarterbacks.
