Alabama will be back, but Clemson will nearly certainly be there waiting for them. Clemson was second in total defense, Alabama was 13th. Backup defensive tackle Nyles Pinckney stuffed Alabama holder Mac Jones on a fake field goal try that ended far short of its goal.
