BioWare’s Hudson Invites Player Feedback in ‘Anthem’ Pre-Launch Blog

"Anthem" fans can try out a VIP demo if they pre-ordered the game or subscribe to EA Access as of January 25.

If you're looking to get your name in the hat and join up with your friends in the Anthem VIP demo, then there are a few things you can do to gain access to the closed demo this weekend. You'll also find new weapons and craft different pieces of armor for your Javelins, allowing you to shape your exo-suit in whatever way you desire.

Experience the world of Anthem™ ahead of launch during the Anthem Demo weekend.

Your progress carries forward from the VIP demo to the open demo. The "Anthem" worldwide launch date is February 22.

Question: How to Get into the Anthem VIP Demo?

When does the Anthem demo end? For a while it seemed that the single-player hub Fort Tarsis would be the only place to drop in between missions, but it looks like you'll have the choice to meet up with others, too. Otherwise, if you don't mind waiting a week, there's an Anthem free demo that will be open to all from February 1 to February 3.

The Anthem demo ends on on January 27 at 6pm PT (7:30am IST).

You will need to uninstall and reinstall the game for launch.

Anthem players on PC will be happy to know that the recently announced requirements for the full game also apply to the demo.

BioWare has confirmed that the Anthem demo will need a valid PlayStation Plus subscription if you're playing it on the PS4 and a valid Xbox Live Gold subscription if you're playing it on the Xbox One.

The Anthem demo client is available to pre-load now for players on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. This was revealed by BioWare Development Manager Camden Eagar over on Reddit who shared that this was a reaction to "community feedback". That's about it, though, because nothing carries over to the full game at launch.
