Since the song's release, a trio of artists have independently accused Grande of plagiarising their work.

Ariana Grande may have broken Spotify streaming records, with her "7 Rings" racking up almost 15 million plays in 24 hours, but the pop star's chart-smasher is seemingly bringing her a great deal of trouble.

Princess Nokia, on the other hand, uploaded a reaction video where she was listening to Ariana's 7 Rings before playing her own track 'Mine.' Nokia seemed quite amused as she said, "Does that sound familiar to you? Hmmmm... sounds about white", she added.

He then wrote, "You're a thief".

After the backlash, Grande headed to The Shade Room's comments section to issue an apology, explaining her original intention when sharing the post.

Meanwhile, rapper 2 Chainz has protested that the chorus in 7 Rings echoes that of his song Spend It.

Despite the controversy, figures on 7 Rings showed she'd broken the record for the most streams within 24 hours on Spotify with almost 15 million worldwide plays.

Ariana shared the post with her followers, saying she had "so much love" for the fan responsible for the message. Thanks for opening the conversation and like... to everyone for talking to me about it.

"Tryna figure out if I should Big Draco @arianagrande ... y'all tell me in the comments #bigdracovibesall2019", 2 Chainz captioned an Instagram snippet of Grande's "7 Rings". "It's never my intention to offend anybody". From her engagement to Pete Davidson to the death of ex-boyfriend Mac Miller - it's safe to say the Dangerous Woman star has had a whirlwind of a year.
