Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has also hinted at the film's chances of showing further improvement during the weekend. The long-delayed sequel to the 2010 hit Enthiran was released on November 29 in 2D and 3D in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on an estimated 10,000 screens worldwide. On the first day, the film grossed around Rs 84 crores worldwide at the ticket window and trade pundits believe it's a terrific start, considering the film released on a Thursday and during a non-festival weekend.
Much of the burden for the recovery of 2.0's ₹510 crore investment still rides on its theatrical business.
