How Cristiano Ronaldo set 'example' to Juventus teammates after Manchester United win

Cristiano Ronaldo has maintained his goalscoring form with the Old Lady while Real Madrid has made their worst start to the La Liga in recent times - so much so that the club have sacked their manager Julen Lopetegui.

"Cristiano is here now, someone who in the past few years has shown he is best in the world", he is quoted as saying by Di Marzio.

The former Real Madrid star starred in a 1-0 win against Manchester United in the Champions League last week. "But the only one who has won everything this year is Raphael Varane". Strong guy, his shooting was unbelievable and he scored many goals. "They are both top players but I must tell you the truth, you can imagine that in 10 years it's been both of them staying consistent for that long".

He said, "The same as usual, even if I don't know if Messi will be on the podium this time".

Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival at Juventus has undoubtedly boosted their chances of winning the Champions League, according to compatriot Luis Figo.

"The important thing is to put them in the position to score, then they do the rest..." The way I work to get the goals and win matches without that in itself being an obsession.

"That's why at 33, he's been an example for all of us and given us an extra stimulus".

Though he scored a stunning set-piece in the World Cup for Portugal and he's notched some belters from range over the years, Cristiano Ronaldo only scored two free-kick goals for Real Madrid in his last three seasons as a Los Blancos player.

"He's also crucial over the 90 minutes". Despite that, soon after arriving in Turin, Ronaldo took up the free-kick duties on him, sidelining the likes of Paulo Dybala and Miralem Pjanic. "He's a leader in this sense".

Neymar continued by admitting he wants to keep learning from Messi and Ronaldo as he strives to win the Ballon d'Or for the first time.
