We knew The CW found the flawless person to play Batwoman when the network first cast Ruby Rose in the role, but now that we've got our first look at her. umm, is it time for the Arrowverse crossover yet?
As previously announced, the character will make her CW debut in the annual crossover event between three of the network's DC shows: The Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl. As you can see the costuming is both in line with the Arrowverse designs and her comic book look, keeping the red detailing while rolling in a less spandexy cloth.
A pilot for that series will be filmed after the "crossover event".
At the time, she responded to the criticism by posting, "Where on Earth did "Ruby is not a lesbian therefore she can't be Batwoman" come from - has to be the funniest most ridiculous thing I've ever read". "But don't call her a hero yet". If the project makes it to series, Batwoman will be the first gay lead character in a live-action superhero TV show.More news: Davante Adams To Miss Another Practice

In the comics, Kate Kane is a brilliant fighter and strategist, inspired by Batman and utilizing her training from the military academy that she attended as a young woman. Critics hailed the casting as "perfect", and Rose described the role as a "childhood dream".
Pulling herself out of a destructive cycle, she chooses to become Batwoman and fight crime.
"I feel like the reason I kept getting so emotional is that growing up, watching TV, I never saw someone on TV that I could identify with, let alone a superhero, you know?"
