Bush's daughter Barbara gets married in secret ceremony


Barbara Bush, the second daughter of President George W. Bush and Laura Bush, married her love Craig Coyne in a private ceremony over the weekend at the family's ME estate.

Barbara Bush wore a custom ivory silk Vera Wang gown.

According to People, only 20 family members were in attendance at the low-key ceremony, held at the Bush family's compound in Kennebunkport, Maine.

George W. and Laura Bush and former President George H.W. Bush were all at the wedding.

KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine - Former first daughter Barbara Bush has gotten married. Her aunt, Dorothy Bush Koch, officiated the ceremony.

The couple - who were set up by friends on a blind date last November - was very discreet during their brief romance, having never even been photographed together at events.

"I just told her and everybody how much she means to me".

Coyne, a Georgia native, is also an actor, and has appeared in movies like "Jarhead" and independent films such as "Look at Me" and "The Snowtown Murders". By New Year's, they made their relationship official and became engaged just five weeks ago when Coyne, a screenwriter, moved from Los Angeles to live with Barbara in New York City.

The bride is the co-founder of public health nonprofit Global Health Corps. The groom is a screenwriter and a graduate of Vanderbilt University.

In a Monday morning Instagram post, the second President Bush said he and his wife, former first lady Laura Bush, "are so proud of our compassionate, daring, fierce, kind, intelligent, loving daughter".

"It was a wonderful day in ME when Barbara married her love and Craig joined our family", she wrote.
