Apple sends invites to October 30 event, new iPad Pros expected

Apple has just sent out press invites for a special event in NY on October 30.

Apple launched new iPhones and Apple Watches last month, so analysts expect Apple to launch new iPad Pros and MacBook laptops at this month's event.

Apple sent out invitations featuring various artistic takes on its famous fruit-shaped logo, suggesting that the event will highlight the tablet's graphic-design capabilities.

Besides new iPad Pro series, Apple is expected to announce AirPod 2 with longer wireless earphone connectivity range and increased battery life.

Apple hosts an October event every other year, to promote products missed in the larger iPhone event in September. This means this would be the first iPad without a Home button, which all houses the fingerprint scanner. These are said to have slimmer bezels on all the four sides, taking a bit of an inspiration from the iPhone design. The new iPad Pro will be able to support Face ID in landscape, export 4K video over USB-C, and more. Apple will also live stream the presentation.

Based on what you've heard and seen of the rumored 2018 iPad Pro lineup so far, are you planning on upgrading when Apple launches them?

The new iPad Pro most probably will keep the 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch screen sizes as the predecessor, but everything else will undergo changes. Also, there is a possibility of the new MacBook Air with 9 gen Intel processors breaking covers. Specifically, the MacBook Air is expected to be refreshed at this event. We'll have to see if Apple alters the security measure to reflect this.
