Amazon adds 4K streaming to the Fire TV Stick


As far as the details are concerned, the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K comes with a faster 1.7GHz processor, which according to the company delivers a fast streaming experience long with a quicker loading times and better image quality.

The company claims that the remote can control power and volume on thousands of televisions, apart from Fire TV devices in India.

On top of offering three types of HDR support, the Amazon Fire TV 4K will support Dolby Atmos object-based surround sound for Amazon's growing library of Atmos-enabled content - another feature that's found on only a handful of streaming devices at the moment - and should be about 80% more powerful than the current-generation Amazon Fire TV Stick in-stores now.

So Amazon has stepped in with a new 4K Fire TV stick.

Along with the new features, the Fire TV Stick 4K continues to provide consumers access to an array of channels, apps, Alexa skills, live TV options, music streaming services, and more.

Amazon is also finally bringing the much-requested Alexa integration to Fire TV through the new remote, enabling users to search, browse and control the playback experience on the device.

The Fire TV Stick 4K is the next-gen streaming stick to accompany the Fire TV 4K box, replacing the Fire TV Stick with Alexa that was introduced early past year. In the coming weeks, Amazon will begin including the new remote with the Fire TV Cube. “Our new quad-core processor delivers a fast and fluid experience, and support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+ provides an awesome picture.

"The 'Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K' is a complete 4K solution our customers are looking for, all within a compact stick form factor". It will ship in the United Kingdom, Germany, and India on November 14.

Amazon has confirmed to that the 2017 model of the Fire TV - also known as the Fire TV Gen. 3, or the Fire TV 4K, or the Fire TV pendant - has reached end-of-life status. The same shipping timeline goes for the single Alexa Voice Remote. It costs $49.99, a $10 increase from the standard 1080p Fire TV Stick.
