Samsung's triple-camera A7 smartphone is now official

SAMSUNG HAS TAKEN a leaf out of Huawei's book by sticking a triple-lens camera on its latest smartphone. Having a variety of differing lenses on your device can make it more suitable to an assortment of shooting conditions.

With the 24MP Lens and Depth Lens, the Galaxy A7's Live Focus feature lets you control the depth of field by allowing you to adjust the bokeh effect to create stunning photos.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) has a triple-lens camera and 6-inch FHD+Super AMOLED display. On the back, it has a 24-megapixel, F1.7 camera accompanied with an 8-megapixel, F2.4 ultra-wide, 120-degree sensor and a 5-megapixel, F2.2 depth sensor (for those portrait photos).

There's also a 24MP camera around the front of the Galaxy A7 which comes kitted out with an adjustable LED flash, Pro Lighting Mode and support for AR emoji, because of course.

Powering the Galaxy A7 is a 2.2GHz octa-core processor but the nature of the chipset has not been specified and will likely vary depending on the market.

In a phone that touts camera prowess, Samsung hasn't forgotten the all-important selfie shooter at the front, too.

The Galaxy A6, Galaxy A6 Plus, the new Galaxy A7, and even the Galaxy Watch don't have an MST chip. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.

Samsung says that the Galaxy A7 will be available in select European and Asian markets this fall and that it will be coming to other markets in the future.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and NFC.

The Galaxy A7 (2018) comes in three memory configurations, which are 4GB of RAM with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage as well as 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage.

Scene Optimizer - a feature Samsung first introduced on the flagship Galaxy Note 9 - also makes an appearance on the Galaxy A7.

Samsung Mobile President DJ Koh said earlier this month that the company would bring more cutting-edge features to the company's midrange phones. It also comes with Dolby Atmos.
