Fortnite V5.40 Adds Suave Suits and Grappling Guns

For instance, the game now supports a new mode called High Stakes, which you can check out in Epic's video at the bottom of this post.

You might remember that High Stakes was teased at PAX West over the weekend, where it was revealed players will be able to zip around the map using a nifty gadget called the Grappler.

Players also have the option to get the Ace outfit, Swag Bag back bling and 600 V-Bucks if they buy the Ace Pack.

Version 5.40 introduces "High Stakes", a limited-time event where teams of four players duke it out while searching for special Jewels hidden in safes scattered across the map, then find a van for the Getaway win.

The item has 15 charges and has Epic rarity so it will be hard for players to get their hands on. Four teams must capture the jewels and make it to the getaway vans and escape, which means there are four winners.

Grapplers are of Epic rarity and can be found as floor loot or inside vending machines, treasure chests, supply drops and supply llamas.

There are also three special challenges that players can complete to unlock more items.

Should Google have given Epic more time before disclosing the Fortnite flaw? The Season 5 Battle Pass can be purchased to unlock a series of progressive rewards for playing the game, including new skins, emotes, and sprays. Likewise, Revolvers have been vaulted. The common suppressed submachine gun, rare rocket launcher, rare pistol, and legendary bolt-action sniper rifle have been removed as well. And when the storm reaches its destination, it will cause a surge of energy that destroys player-built structures located on the storm wall.
