Kendricks played weakside linebacker for the Eagles, who drafted him in the second round in 2012 one spot before Seattle chose Bobby Wagner. This move is a just a temporary one, however, as Kendricks faces sentencing for his crime on December 18.

Not only is Seattle signing Kendricks, he is expected to play for the team on Monday night against the Chicago Bears, per Schefter.

Kendricks pleaded guilty last week to the charges.

Kendricks, who turns 28 later this month, admitted before a federal judge in Philadelphia that he swapped cash, National Football League tickets and access to parties with a Wall Street-connected associate for nonpublic, market-shifting information.

The Seahawks are thin at linebacker with starter K.J. Wright still out after his knee surgery. Kendricks signed with Cleveland in the offseason and the Browns said they made the decision to release him after learning more about his involvement.

"He's running today, felt pretty good", Carroll said. Griffin started and struggled last week against the Denver Broncos. "We'll see he does".

"It's always going to be all the way through this first season and into next year is just getting really sharp", Carroll said. He pleaded guilty earlier this month.

Kendricks played 15 games for the Philadelphia Eagles previous year, finishing the 2017 season with 2.0 sacks and 15 tackles.

Veteran defender Mychal Kendricks is excited to be a part of the Cleveland Browns' linebacker corps.

As reported by several outlets, Kendricks used tips from an acquaintance, Damilare Sonoiki, to make roughly $1.2 million in illegal profits on four major trading deals in 2014 and 2015, according to federal prosecutors.
