Sarri has made a superb start to life in the Premier League, with Chelsea claiming four wins from four, however their momentum was halted by the first global break of the season.
The Brazilian defender has had an up-and-down career during his two spells at Chelsea, being an integral part of Antonio Conte's Premier League title success of 2016/17, before falling out of favour with the Italian the year after. "If he wants to play for another season, it is right he tries to play". But if he wants to help us, I'm really very happy. He has won everything with the club, so it's up to him.
There is no consideration for Terry returning to Stamford Bridge as a player, with Sarri prioritising young talent like Wales worldwide Ethan Ampadu.More news: Messi liked Busquets quickly at Barcelona - Guardiola

Chelsea's Maurizio Sarri is happy to welcome John Terry back to the club, with the former defender given the chance to choose his own role. "[But] in this first period, for me, it was very important not to change, especially the defensive line".
"For me, it's a pleasure", Sarri said when asked if his days are long.
Cesc Fabregas is fit again following a knee injury, but Sarri suggested it may be more beneficial for the playmaker to train this weekend, rather than be a substitute.
The Italian added: "I think tomorrow will be a very hard game because, mentally, the match after the break is always very hard".
"But the Premier League is very competitive, other teams have a lot of good players and it will not be easy".
