"Urban Meyer is on the hot seat and can be wrongfully fired from Ohio State it is up to us Buckeye Nation to help him not just for him but for THE Ohio State University and the great state of Ohio!" The school announced Sunday night that the investigation is expected to wrap up within two weeks.
In the wake of an Ohio State investigation into Urban Meyer's possible knowledge of domestic abuse allegations against a former assistant, during which the decorated coach has been placed on paid administrative leave, a number of Buckeyes fans are showing support for the coach.
One sign read, "ESPN = Fake News", even though the reporter who broke the story, Brett McMurphy, had been laid off by the network beforehand. Really embarrassing. Perhaps the worst of the worst was a man holding a sign that's blatantly mocking the #MeToo movement. I SUPPORT: "URBAN MEYER & THE BUCKS O-H-I-O" and one that stated, "INNOCENT 'TIL PROVEN GUILTY ESPN GUILTY OF ABUSE!" with "PROVEN" underlined. "We look forward to sharing the results of this investigation and any action the university may take".More news: President Trump Endorses Bill Lee for Tenn. Gov.

Meyer initially told reporters at Big Ten Media Days on July 25 that he didn't know anything about abuse allegations made by Courtney Smith in October 2015. "I have always liked him personally". He left a disaster down there. Mary Jo White, the former chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and head investigator on the team, has previously worked on National Football League cases, most recently the investigation into workplace misconduct by Panthers owner Jerry Richardson. Meyer later admitted he'd been untruthful when asked about the alleged incidents.
The investigation's findings will be passed on to Ohio State president Michael V. Drake, who will make any decisions in consultation with the university's board of trustees, the Columbus Dispatch reported.
