He said that, by being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Urlacher continues setting a positive example for the children of New Mexico.

"There's been a lot of speculation and false reports as to why I chose not to be there [Canton]", Owens said, according to ESPN.

Owens has made the unprecedented move of deciding not to attend the inductions at the Canton shrine.

But since the team's last championship, there have been a few players that stand out as Hall of Fame caliber players. "I never would've imagined I would be standing here tonight", said Urlacher.

"I wasn't really too pleased about it, " Owens said of the Hall of Fame's initial reaction regarding the jacket. As the premier safety of his time and arguably the best at his position to ever take to the field, he's widely regarded as a shoo-in to be a member of the Hall's next class. So it should come as no surprise that at Owens' Hall of Fame ceremony at Chattanooga on Saturday, he told all, and didn't hold back a damn thing.

Moss delivered an unbelievable speech. During his speech, Owens didn't waste any time talking about the snub.

Owens thanked everyone from his late grandmother and mother to coaches from his high school days in Alexander City, Alabama, through his time at Chattanooga and into the NFL. But he also thanked the Pats coach for much more than football, which got a huge smile out of the otherwise surly Belichick.

Urlacher also singled out his stepfather, Troy Lenard, who was in attendance at the induction ceremony, citing his work ethic and thanking him "for helping a young boy who needed a role model and for coming into our lives when you did". Owens only trails the great Jerry Rice (22,895), his former teammate with the San Francisco 49ers.

"He's always going to do it his way and what's beneficial to him and his family", Taylor said.

"Momma, if they're here celebrating me for all of my accomplishments, they need to celebrate you", Moss said.
