PlayStation Celebrates 500 Million Console Sales With Limited Edition PS4 Pro

The console will also come with a 2TB hard drive for the first time.

Each system will have a commemorative copper plate on the front with the serial number etched on it. And much like the PlayStation 4 20th Anniversary Edition, I think you know what happened to most of those.

It will be available for £449.99 in the United Kingdom (€499 in Central Europe) and comes in a special collector's edition translucent box.

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the 500 Million Limited Edition PlayStation 4 Pro, a new PlayStation 4 Pro model celebrating PlayStation systems sales topping 525.3 million units worldwide. PlayStation 4 Pro 500 Million Limited Edition has been created to represent our appreciation to our loyal fans. This particular variant, which is created to celebrate PlayStation's achievement of reaching 525.3 million units of hardware worldwide, comes with translucent body.

The system, which will be limited to 50,000 units, features a slick coloring job with the dark blue exterior, matching DualShock 4 controller, a vertical stand, PlayStation Camera, and mono headset. Select consoles also have important dates etched onto them, such those marking the U.S. launch of the original PlayStation and the PS4. Theyll go for $500/€500 starting August 24. Sony is celebrating the milestone by releasing a rather lovely, blue PS4 Pro Limited Edition. The limited edition DualShock 4 controller will be available to purchase separately on the same day. As with the Gold Wireless Headset, it will be sold in limited quantities in early September 2018.
