Apple expected to announce new iPhone and gadgets September 12

Apple is also supposedly going to announce a 6.1-inch iPhone that will be cheaper than the two iPhone Xs models.

The images appear to be press renders of the iPhone XS (pronounced iPhone 10 S) in both 5.8-inch and 6.5 -inch sizes as well as what we expect to be called the Apple Watch Series 4. While the older iPhone X had a large screen than the Pluses of years past, in practice, Apple did not support those layouts om the smaller handset, likely due to its width.

Speculation includes talk that Apple introduce three new iPhone models, infusing some with features from a premium iPhone X that debuted previous year with a $1,000 price tag. To recall, Apple Park campus was opened past year, which is when iPhone X was launched as part of the tenth-anniversary celebration. It seems this fourth-generation Apple Watch could also sport a new face that's 15 percent larger than company's current smartwatch displays, which is an estimated 44mm (from 38mm) or 48mm (from 42mm).

9to5Mac said the images released were not mockups but Apple's actual planned products.

9to5Mac says the image above isn't a render or photoshopped picture but a genuine leaked image from Apple's forthcoming marketing for what will be known as the iPhone XS.

According to a new report published by BGR on Thursday, Apple will indeed hold its fall 2018 iPhone event on the 12th of September.

A larger 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus.

Aside from those size differences, however, the devices look a hell of a lot like the notchy iPhone Apple announced last September.

Apple is hosting journalists and other media on its campus on September 12. In addition, upgraded AirPods with "Hey Siri" support, the AirPower charging mat, and new Apple Watch bands to go along with the Apple Watch Series 4 may also make an appearance.

However, 12 September is not that far off, so we'll just wait and watch.
