Sacha Baron Cohen Trolls Donald Trump, Seemingly Teases New Project

Share

On the 4th of July (because when else?) Cohen teased a new project that seems to take a dig at the president in a Twitter video titled "A Message from Donald J. Trump". After Mr. Trump says Cohen should "go to school, learn about being amusing", the video promises "Sacha graduates soon" (Cohen is a graduate of the University of Cambridge).

Cohen's announcement was posted on Twitter on July 4th as an Independence Day themed post, which seemed like the ideal moment to announce something like this. The video is now Cohen's only tweet. Trump has also said he is not anxious about Cohen giving the government anything damaging on him because he hasn't done anything wrong.

It has previously been reported that Baron Cohen is making a film called Greed, about the lavish lifestyles of the super rich. "I only wish that he would have been punched in the face so many times right now he'd be in the hospital". "He ought to be fired immediately". Sacha Baron Cohen, go to school!

Who knows what it all means but, for the record, Baron Cohen did go to school to learn about being amusing.

Shockingly, these comments made by Trump were never released online, so this is the first we are seeing of this footage. In 2016 for his film The Brothers Grimsby, he wrote a joke about Trump contracting HIV. "Soon." The video ends with an image of the Trump University seal. In a resignation letter to the Republican National Committee, he publicly criticized Trump's family separations at the US-Mexico border, and people close to him told The Wall Street Journal and CNN he was frustrated Trump wasn't paying his legal bills - even suggesting Cohen was open to cooperating with the government and providing information on Trump.
