KL Rahul, Kuldeep Yadav Architect IND's Win

Chasing 160 in 20 overs, India reached the target with 10 balls to spare, just shows how convincingly the visitor's got the better of the hosts.

After following up a 5-0 whitewash in the ODI series against Australia with a comfortable win in the one-off T20, England were found wanting against vastly superior white-ball opponents in India.

Meanwhile, Kuldeep bagged 5-24 at Old Trafford on Tuesday night, including three wickets in his third over when he had Morgan (7) caught in the deep and Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root stumped by MS Dhoni for golden ducks, as England subsided from 95-1 just after the halfway mark to post 159-8.

In the second ODI of the five-match series against Australia in 2017, Kuldeep Yadav became only the third Indian bowler to take an ODI hat-trick, after Kapil Dev and Chetan Sharma.

"We have actually been able to create flat wickets into wicket-taking wickets with the variety we have in the attack", skipper Kohli had said, referring to his wrist-spinners before the team departed for the United Kingdom tour. Jos Buttler, Eoin Morgan, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root and Alex Hales all failed to read the chinaman bowler's variations. It was evident as they didn't have a clue as to which way the ball would turn. India clinched the opening T20I by eight wickets.

Rohit's departure brought in skipper Virat Kohli (20 not out off 22 balls), who was seven shy of becoming the fourth batsman to notch 2000 T20I runs.

Yadav was introduced into the attack in the 10th over with England on 72/1 and Jos Buttler on rampage.

Earlier, Kuldeep left the English batsmen in a daze with his magical spell of wrist spin, restricting them to a manageable total.

Nonetheless, Umesh Yadav, who impressed in IPL 2018 with raw pace, will open the bowling alongside the impressive Bhuvneshwar Kumar. It happened in South Africa too.

If England were in any doubt about the challenge posed by this Indian team, they aren't any longer after a humbling eight-wicket defeat at Old Trafford.

India can now wrap up the three-match series in Cardiff on Friday, while an England win would send it to a decider in Bristol on Sunday.

Captain Eoin Morgan mistimed an attempted slog-sweep to his opposite number Virat Kohlit.

In the same series two games later, Kuldeep Yadav produced another four-wicket haul, which helped clinch the series. But dry conditions in the region enabled purchase from the pitches, and the wrist-spinner finished with 17 wickets in six ODIs. "Jos was playing him (Kuldeep) better but he had probably already faced 35 balls before he came on to bowl", he said.

It was merely a blip for India and with the hard work done earlier in the innings Rahul and Kohli took a largely risk-averse approach.

India completely dominated the game with KL Rahul scoring 101 not out off 54 balls to romp home with consummate ease.

Buttler, however continued tormenting the Indians with a 46-ball knock laced with eight fours and a couple of sixes before becoming Kuldeep's fifth victim, thanks to a brilliant catch by Kohli after Rahul dropped him one ball earlier.
