Warm and dry tonight, storm chances rumble in for Monday

But the cold front that came through last night will move back up as a warm front which will be the focus for storm development.

Spotty showers and thunderstorms will linger through the evening hours.

The National Weather Service in Huntsville is anticipating storms to develop in MS and western Tennessee and push into north Alabama by mid- to late afternoon or evening.

We'll have a daily chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. The weather service says very heavy rainfall can be expected with any storms that develop. Temps will rise from the mid to upper 60s this morning to the upper 80s this afternoon. The rain chance decreases to 30 percent tonight.

Tuesday will also feature just scattered showers and storms, with highs holding in the low 90s.

Sunday - Mostly sunny with a high around 95. We will not be completely rain free, but more of us than not should be able to get out and get some outdoor chores taken care of.
