Right now, Salman Khan's "Race 3" is experiencing similar feat at the box office.

With the next big-budget movie "Sanju", starring Ranbir Kapoor releasing on June 29, 2018, "Race 3' has another week to race at the box-office". The movie has become Salman Khan's third highest grossing movie in the opening weekend after Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, which minted Rs 328 crore gross and Rs 190 crore gross, respectively in the global market in their first weekend.

With the new search result, we wonder if Race 3 affects the repute maintained by Salman Khan over the years.

However, Race 3 failed to beat the record of Ranveer Singh's Padmaavat, which collected a whopping Rs 114 crore (£13m) at the box office in first weekend.

The film has got negative reviews from the critics and the audience so it was clear from the first day that the film will only earn in the name of Salman Khan in its three opening days. (Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai). If we are to go by the early estimates, Race 3 has collected over Rs 15 crore gross in other global markets in the first weekend. Race 3 is a distant second followed by his other hits.

That Race 3 would pass the opening weekend test with flying colours was a given. People who watched the movie were not at all impressed and enjoyed their time making memes out of it. Daisy Shah's dialogue of 'Our Business is Our Business.' was trending much before the movie's release, for all its jokes, again.

Another factor to be weighed in for its performance on weekdays is word-of-mouth. Jacqueline Fernandez adds nothing to the movie.

Additionally, it must be kept in mind that apart from its box office collection, Race 3 has already collected Rs 130 crore from satellite rights and that the movie has one of the widest releases in Bollywood with 4,200 screens. Race 3 is directed by Remo D'Souza.
