On Saturday, LeBron James will make his decision weather to opt into the final year of his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers, worth $35.6 million, or become a free agent.

James' Cleveland Cavaliers side ended Indiana Pacers' 2018 National Basketball Association campaign in the first round of the playoffs. That guy, who spent the last two years beating LeBron James in the NBA Finals.

Like James, Durant can opt-out of his contract.

Joel Embiid says LeBron James would push the Sixers over the top in their quest for an National Basketball Association championship. It has seemed to be a foregone conclusion he will return to the Golden State Warriors, and that's still by far the most likely scenario for him.

In Basketball Society Online's article reporting the news, it specifically cited that James will look to use the platform to launch, amongst other things, a Space Jam 2 trailer.

Could the two best players in the National Basketball Association team up in Los Angeles? The news that James has contacted Durant comes just as there have apparent concerns coming out of Kawhi Leonard's camp about playing in the spotlight that accompanies James.

"This tells me a lot actually".

The Lakers will be able to officially speak with James on July 1, assuming he does not exercise his player option.

"He's the best player in the league at this moment, so I think he takes us to another level, which is important because at the end of the day, I want to be a champion", said Embiid.
