Heather Locklear Released From Prison After Allegedly Attacking EMT, Heading To Treatment

After receiving clearance from the hospital, Locklear was booked into the Ventura County Jail on two counts of misdemeanor battery against an officer and emergency personnel.

Locklear appeared extremely intoxicated when deputies arrived at her Southern California home at about 11 p.m. Sunday to investigate a dispute between Locklear and either family members or friends, Ventura County Sheriff's Capt. Garo Kuredjian said.

Actress Heather Locklear is reportedly back in the hospital just hours after her release from jail on Monday.

A source close to Locklear claimed to ET that the family called the police after the actress was "acting erratically" and "threatened to kill herself". "Heather is hitting rock bottom and her daughter (Ava Elizabeth Sambora) and other family members are seriously concerned for her health and well-being".

Then in early March, deputies returned to her home to seize a.38-calliber Smith and Wesson that was registered to Locklear.

Locklear, 56, was arrested and charged with battery of a police officer and emergency personnel, and remains in police custody.

Back on February 25, Heather was arrested for domestic violence and assaulting a police officer following an altercation with her boyfriend.

Locklear pleaded not guilty to the charges in April but she was barred from owning or possessing a firearm. TMZ broke the story. she was arrested for kicking an EMT and punching a police officer Sunday night.

An engagement to fellow Melrose Place actor Jack Wagner was called off in 2011.

Locklear has openly struggled with depression, anxiety and substance abuse.
