For immigrants, still no word on when they will be reunited

She was seen wearing a green coat with a graffiti design on the back that reads: "I really don't care, do u?". "I REALLY DON'T CARE, DO U?" written on the back of Melania's jacket, refers to the Fake News Media.

Mr. Trump and his administration have faced fierce criticism in recent weeks for separating more than 2,300 children from their families in order to prosecute their parents for crossing the border illegally.

It didn't work. And the outrage continued to grow, with first lady Melania Trump joining in with a rare policy intervention with an appeal for both sides to work towards a resolution.

Hours after the photo of her departure outfit went viral, she again donned the jacket to disembark the plane at an Air Force base outside Washington.

Melania Trump was on her way to visit the detained children and families at the U.S. -Mexico border.

The first lady wore a different pale yellow jacket when she disembarked.

Her jacket prompted a maelstrom on social media over what it meant.

When contacted for comment, spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham said in an email: "It's a jacket".

Donald Trump, however, tweeted that his wife's jacket was indeed meant to send a message, but not about the immigrant children. "Why don't we make the jacket that does good in the world?'" she said. Hollywood Life reported that Melania was sending a message directly to her husband with the jacket, and now he's furious about it.

In a desperate attempt to salvage his immigration policy and restore his reputation as being "strong" on immigration, President Trump Friday afternoon hosted "angel families", families of victims of undocumented immigrants.

Then Melania Trump wore it upon her return-despite sweltering heat.

Wednesday's move marked a rare instance since Trump took office in January 2017 in which he has changed course on a controversial policy, rather than digging in.

He appeared with "angel families" - US citizens whose loved ones were lost due to crimes committed by people in the country illegally.
