DxOMark: Xiaomi Mi 8 beats the Samsung Galaxy S9+ in still shots

There's an Apple-like dual camera array that features two 12-megapixel cameras.

Xiaomi built its mobile empire with iPhone knockoffs, and it looks the company hasn't outgrown the habit.

Xiaomi Mi 8 features a6.21-inch AMOLEDdisplay, full HD+resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio.

MIUI 10, Xiaomi's customised Android operating system for its smartphones, was announced at its annual event in China.

In terms of design, the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE resembles the standard Mi 8 SE with a slightly smaller display along with an all-glass design. It bears a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, while the Mi 8 Explorer Edition has an in-display fingerprint sensor. It starts at CNY 2699 and is limited to China only for now.

There's also MIUI 10 - the latest version of Xiaomi's Android skin - to look forward to, though numerous new features this update will bring are intended for users in China. Wait until you get a load of the Mi 8 Explorer Edition.

Xiaomi Mi 8 comes packed with top end specifications in addition with quite a few interesting features. Then the 6GB/128GB model has a 2,999 yuan (~$468) price tag, while the 6GB/256GB model will retail for 3,299 yuan (~$515).
