This is not what the New Orleans Saints wanted to hear before the 2018 season. He also had 81 catches for 826 yards and five receiving touchdowns, earning Pro Bowl honors and a spot on the second All-Pro team as a flex.
Ingram has rushed for over 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons and has registered 154 receptions over the past three seasons, including a career-high 58 in 2017.
It's important to note that just because Kamara didn't lead the Saints in carries last season, it doesn't mean he wasn't a huge part of their offense.
Overall, the four games Ingram will miss: against the Browns, the Buccaneers, the Giants and the Falcons, is a missed opportunity for the 2017 Pro Bowler to get his stats up. The Saints went 2-2 in those four games.More news: $0.66 EPS Expected for Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, Inc. (VRX)

According to Nick Underhill (put it on the Underhill's bill!), the league has suspended Ingram for four games for violating the policy on performance-enhancing drugs. It provides Kamara with a huge chance to show the Saints, and other potential teams that he can be the man in their backfield. He did this alongside Alvin Kamara, who impressed as a rookie with 728 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns, leading the league with 6.1 yards per rush.
Look for rookie Boston Scott of Louisiana Tech to be given a shot for playing time.
Then there's the fact that Ingram walks into the 2018 season with an expiring contract. He is permitted to practice and play for the Saints in the preseason.
