Developer Niantic leveraged the title's popularity previous year by launching the Pokemon Go Fest which had quite a lot of shortcomings but fans remain of the view that they would like this fan event to return. The studio has announced a summer tour for 2018. 1st July, hosted in the city of Dortmund, Germany, a Safari Zone event will take place in Westfalenpark - one of the largest inner-city parks in Europe full of playgrounds for kids and families.
Niantic says each event will "include unique ways for players around the world to create adventures of their own and complete challenges together". The biggest North American event will back with a brand-new look. This year's event will take place at Lincoln Park and will include a almost 2 mile walking course with different "exclusive" activities for trainers. Details are now only available for the Dortmund festival, dubbed "Pokemon GO Safari Zone".

Pokémon GO Fest 2018 will have pre-orders open on May 11, 2018. There will be a almost two-mile walk for players to explore and take part in exclusive activities.
After the Chicago event, finally, the things will wrap up in Yokosuka. Again, more details are expected to be revealed on these soon.
After what can only be described as a disastrous Pokemon Go Fest past year, Niantic is giving it another go. "We are excited to be returning to Chicago for our U.S. event". Of course, considering the issues that occurred during the inaugural event, there's a high possibility that attendance will be lower this time around, as many will surely be skeptical of Pokemon GO Fest 2018 succeeding.
