- An inspiring act of kindness at a Houston-area Waffle House has gone viral.
"I heard this elderly man tell (Evoni) his hands don't work too good", Wolf posted. Mayor Bobby Hocking presented a proclamation to 18-year-old Evoni Williams at her Waffle House location. With the caption, "This may seem small but to him, I'm sure it was huge", she posted the photo which quickly went viral.
Laura Wolf, a customer sitting nearby, snapped a photo of Williams doing her good deed. "I'm thankful to have seen this act of kindness and caring at the start of my day while everything in this world seems so negative", Wolf wrote in her post, which had received 99,000 likes and 47,000 shares as of Friday afternoon. "If we could all be like this waitress & take time to offer a helping hand", the post also read.
Wolf's wonderful photo has since been shared more than 40,000 times on Facebook. Williams said the man is a regular customer, but this was his first time back after a trip to the hospital.More news: Mario Kart is coming to Google Maps for one week only

Williams said was taken aback by the outpouring, KTRK-TV said.
Williams is grateful for the scholarship and said she would have done it for anybody because it's the right thing to do. "That just meant something to me", Laura Wolf said.
