Country music star collapses on stage in Dublin

Tim McGraw was forced to cut short his concert in Dublin, Ireland, on Sunday night, after he collapsed on stage due to dehydration.

AN AMERICAN country music star collapsed on stage while performing as part of the Country to Country festival at Dublin's 3Arena.

McGraw, 50, left the stage and wife Faith Hill announced that the show was over. Hill was seen wearing a black turtleneck and jeans along with a black raincoat as she was shielded from the rainy weather by an umbrella. "I apologize, but I made the decision that he can not come back out onstage", she said. The local medical staff took good care of him and he is now feeling fine.

McGraw reportedly had just finished a song when he sat down, then "slumped to his knees as he walked off stage".

As Hill concluded her remarks, the crowd broke into a "We love Tim!" chant. Faith Hill then encouraged everyone to drink water and stay healthy.

The Dublin concert was also the third and final show on the European leg of Hill and McGraw's Soul2Soul: The World Tour.

In a recent CBS Sunday Morning interview, McGraw said music is his "savior".

He said: "Anything that's ever happened good in my life has come from music. Whether I want to do it continually, whether I want to stop doing it, any of those things, it's my saviour in a lot of ways".
