Leonard Lance, R-7th, was uninjured in the crash of an Amtrak train on its way to a GOP retreat in West Virginia Wednesday, one day after President Donald Trump's State of the Union address.
Officials have since confirmed one person has died, while another has been injured. Video from the scene showed the battered truck afterward, with trash strewn around it.
"I'm fine compared to, tragically, the truck drivers, and thankful for the prompt action of our doctors and first responders". White House press secretary Sarah Sanders confirmed in a statement that there was at least one fatality from the collision, though it was unclear who that was. The chartered train was carrying lawmakers to a retreat.
Daines tweeted from the train that he's ok, but called for prayers for the drivers of the truck.
"There's a lighted crossing guard where the train crosses", Hill said.
