The 27-year-old star is now in the middle of a press tour for her upcoming spy thriller Red Sparrow, due out next month, which sees Lawrence as a ballerina-turned-spy. News and said: 'It makes a big difference when people who are just 10 years older than us come to talk about political issues.

Now the Oscar-winner has emerged in yet another unreal outfit - this time seemingly inspired by the 90s and one look in particular.

Director Francis Lawrence, no relation to Jennifer, also explained that the script was quite different to the novel as they made a decision to focus on Dominika and her swaying allegiances, rather than on both her and Nate. Showing in Milan, Versace re-introduced many of Gianni's prints and shapes, as well as the supermodels he had originally worked with.

And then there was Lawrence, no doubt freezing her arse off in a plunging Versace dress complete with thigh-high split.

Lawrence added that batting away the compliment was just an attempt at being modest and not looking like she agreed that she was "the hottest actress on the planet".

"I am in the single mode where I am like, "Cool, I can do whatever I want and I can be alone and watch bad TV".

Red Sparrow stars Lawrence as a Russian spy who falls for a Central Intelligence Agency officer played by Joel Edgerton. "And I was like [encouraging her to use] just adjective after adjective: just "tall", "beautiful", "just say that I'm this and that", and she was like "Alright, darling", and she goes on stage".

Jennifer Lawrence may or may not be planning to put her acting career on hold to concentrate on political activism, depending on whom you believe.

"I'm going to be working with this organisation as a part of Represent".

She said: "People think my life must be different but it's actually pretty normal".
