Are you excited to get Android 8.0 Oreo on your Galaxy S8?

The rollout appears to have begun in Germany, with Allaboutsamsung.de reporting that the final release update is heading to Beta testers now. This would be a big update, since most users have been waiting for Oreo for quite some time. As always, you can check for updates through the Settings app on your phone. They've even made a video about it to show the Galaxy S7 Edge running Android Oreo. Actually, Samsung seemingly things those upgrades are so important that the company plans to impose an additional $100 for each phone in contrast to the launch prices of previous year's Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.

As stated, the update is now rolling out only for the Galaxy S8 users in Germany.

If we talk about the version, the update rolled out with with firmware version G955XXU1CRAP in Germany on the Galaxy S8+ smartphone.

If you have either Galaxy S8 handset, you can manually check for software updates right now. It also brings February Month's Security Patch to your device with all bug fixes and other system improvements as well. Like all other software updates, the over-the-air (OTA) release of the Oreo update will be gradual, so don't get impatient if the update notification doesn't pop up on your phone. Samsung was the only giant to push the update for the consumers which is finally here.
