EPL: Harry Kane heads Tottenham to 1-0 victory over Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur are not just trying to work their way back into the top four after a recent lull in form sent them tumbling out of it, they're also trying to regain some damaged pride after losing to Arsenal earlier this season.

However, The Mirror state that the Spurs hierarchy believe their manager would spurn the chance to join the Santiago Bernabeu outfit in favour of continuing his project in North London. Arsenal played with a four-man defence last weekend, while against Tottenham Wenger could go back to a three-man system. I think we have to fight to have a chance to come back.

With both back-lines forcing ideal pressure, the only two chances for Spurs came from a Shkodran Mustafi clearance that forced a Peter Cech save and a pinpoint cross from Christian Eriksen that connected with a Kane header yet went above the crossbar. You can say, "We are not strong enough when defending our goal", but when you look at the numbers and compare them to the top six, we do not score enough goals away from home.

His 32nd goal of the season earned Tottenham a well-deserved 1-0 victory over Arsenal and in truth, it could have been four or five in the second half.

"He is the present and the future", said Pochettino when quizzed whether Kane's dominant header possessed traits of an old-fashioned English centre-forward.

"I'm not a great fan of qualifying through the Europa League because I don't think it's right".

The Spurs boss added: "It is important for the belief of the team (to take seven points in those three games)".

Arsenal will next be in action on Thursday night when they travel to Sweden to face Ostersunds in the round of 32 stage of the Europa League.

After the Tottenham-Arsenal match of the Primer League 27th round, head coaches of teams have shared their views, BBC reported.

"In the second half the first 25 to 30 minutes we played fantastic football and we created a lot of chances".

'If it is an opportunity we will have to try to take it as well but the priority is still the Premier League'. We can only look at ourselves.

"I am very pleased with our players".

And he's going to regret at least one of them.
