William proudly told them that he had scored a winning goal earlier in the day during a penalty shootout against Kate at a Bandy hockey event. The Duchess, who laughed and patted him affectionately on the arm, insisted: "I let him win".

Princess Kate's personal hairdresser Amanda Cook Tucker also gave the public a rare glimpse of what it takes to get the Duchess of Cambridge's much-admired hairstyle, posting a photo of her beauty kit on social media.

When British royals meet Swedish royals.

After their active morning on the ice, Kate and William changed out of their winter gear and snow boots to attend a special luncheon with the Swedish royal family at the Royal Palace of Stockholm. Likewise, on the first day of their tour, Victoria, Daniel, William and Kate again stopped to pose for a picture as they arrived at the Nobel Museum.

It's a odd feeling to have the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, make a public appearance, and disappoint us with her look. Sweden's Prime Minister Stefan Löfven and representatives from the Swedish government, parliament, business and culture, including Swedish actors Stellan Skarsgård and Alicia Vikander, were also in attendance. The menu was just as fancy as you'd expect, ranging from smoked salmon with quail egg as an entree, to a dessert of blackberry souffle with chocolate ganache.

For the occasion staged at the Stockholm residence of Britain's Ambassador to Sweden David Cairns, Kate wore a multicoloured silk Erdem gown, decorated in florals.
