Cavaliers' trade acquisitions will not play vs. Hawks Friday, report says

Evidently, fans all over the world are happy guard Dwyane Wade is back with the Miami Heat.

Wade posted a video on Instagram accompanied by the text "Sooooo".

But then on Thursday, with the Cavaliers knee-deep in their incredible firesale, Wade was shipped to Miami for a protected 2024 second round pick.

When Wade hit free agency in 2016, the Heat offered him a two-year, $40 million deal that he turned down to join the Bulls.

"It was a sad day when Dwyane left, and it's a handsome day now that he's back", Heat president Pat Riley said on a conference call Thursday, according to the Heat.

"I will not confirm nor deny who it was", Wade said. I hope you guys are excited to see me. The longtime Heat star helped bring three titles to Miami, and was clearly excited about returning.

"This is all a part of the story, man", Wade said. "We always have incredibly high expectations, and this is a move that we feel that helps us with our ultimate goal". Simple as it sounds, that's all Wade needed to be convinced that his plan for returning to Miami one day would become reality. It's something that the fanbase in Miami has talked about. I'm excited to get started.

"For all of you who know me, warriors don't live in the past".

This will be the last meeting of the two teams this season, as Miami have capitalized on the past two match ups, winning once on the road and once at home in the process. But before that, he's thanking the Cleveland Cavaliers and their fans. Thanks to the Miami organization, coaches, players for accepting me back. Similarly, he makes a point to believe in them when things are going well.

Wade and Babbitt are both cleared to play in Friday night's Eastern Conference battle.

The Miami Heat will take on the Milwaukee Bucks at what will been an electric atmosphere in the American Airlines Arena as Dwyane Wade makes his return to South Beach.
