ASUS is launching its new dual-camera smartphone lineup at MWC 2018

Asus will be hosting a launch event that will take place during the MWC 2018 in Barcelona, Spain.

Given that Qualcomm's logo is present in the invite, we're pretty confident that most (if not all) Zenfone 5 series smartphones will use Snapdragon mobile platforms.

The company has scheduled a press event on February 27 and the poster for the event clearly hints that it's going to be the Zenfone 5 series that gets unveiled at this event. The number 5 indicates that Asus may launch the ZenFone 5 series smartphones at the event. It also features a "We Love Photo" tag that was originally used at the time of launching the family a year ago and sports Qualcomm Snapdragon branding. The "we love photo" words also suggest that we might see a better camera on the new Zenfone 5.

The event will be held on February 27th at 7:30 pm CET, i.e., 12 am IST on February 28th.

The ZE552KL is larger, at 5.5 inches, naturally packing a heftier 3000 mAh battery, while the ZE520KL settles for a 5.2-inch display and 2600 mAh cell. It will be live-streamed on the company's official site.

The Asus ZenFone 5 Lite, on the other hand, was certified in Russian Federation.

One of them, the ASUS Zenfone 5 Max has already received certification from the Wi-Fi Alliance. As listed on Wi-Fi certification website, the smartphone will run on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and it will support connectivity features like dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n (2.4GHz, 5GHz) and LTE capabilities.

The new Zenfone lineup is arriving just five months after the first Zenfone 4 series hit the market in August.
