Guillermo del Toro's fantasy romance The Shape of Water walked away with four wins, including Best Picture and Best Director.

HBO's "Big Little Lies" was the favourite TV program of the year, winning Best Limited Series, Best Actress in a Limited Series (Nicole Kidman), Best Supporting Actor (Alexander Skarsgård) and Best Supporting Actress (Laura Dern).

Other stars up for the award included Jessica Chastain for Molly's Game, Sally Hawkins for The Shape of Water, Frances McDormand for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing and Meryl Streep for The Post.

The Briton's Critics' Choice award for Darkest Hour follows the Golden Globe he won last weekend and the Bafta nomination he received on Tuesday. This was her second win at the annual awards show, after being named Best Actress in an action movie in 2016 for Suicide Squad.

Get Out was named Best Sci-Fi/Horror Movie and won the Best Original Screenplay title.

Kidman thanked the entertainment community "who show up to make really fantastic films and TV and let us do what we love". Munn has publicly accused director Brett Ratner of misconduct and harassment and is an outspoken critic of a Hollywood power structure she says rewards abusers and silences victims. "Thank you so much".
