Infamous movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, accused by numerous women of sexual misconduct, was "attacked" while leaving a Paradise Valley restaurant Tuesday night, TMZ reported Wednesday.

As the former Hollywood power broker tries to leave, a diner identified by The Daily Mail as "Steve" appears to block his path and slap him on the face twice with the back of his hand. The assailant then says, "You're a piece of shit". The manager of the restaurant says Weinstein was not belligerent - she says to the contrary he was "very sweet about it" and said, "I'd rather not take a picture right now".

The maker wasn't hurt and purportedly declined to call police, as per nearby ABC subsidiary KNXV-TV.

According to Raw Story, Steve was drunk. Steve's companion filmed the incident, which you can watch below, which shows Steve delivering two backhanded slaps to the face while berating Weinstein. Either way, he's lucky Weinstein opted not to call the police.

Weinstein's representative Sallie Hofmeister told The Arizona Republic in an email that TMZ's report was accurate and had no further comment.

More than 50 women have come forward and accused Weinstein of sexual assault that began #MeToo movement.

Initial reports stated that Steve tried to "punch" Weinstein, but neither of the blows landed.

Weinstein's spokeswoman, Sallie Hofmeister, told the Times in a statement, "Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein".

Contrary to rumors that Weinstein was in Los Angeles during the Golden Globes last week, Weinstein's reps confirmed he was NOT in Hollywood, and was in Arizona the whole time.
